Tom received an MA in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tom and Robyn entered full-time ministry in 1997. They have served on staff at various churches and with Family Life, a subsidiary of CRU from 2005-2018. They founded the Center for Biblical Living in 2018 because of their strong passion to help those already in or preparing for vocational ministry. They were married in 1995 and have three daughters, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Bill & Cindy Starr
Bill received two master’s degrees, one in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the other in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Cindy received her Master’s in Education. Bill and Cindy have served together in ministry throughout their marriage. They have a deep commitment to discipleship and to the power of God’s Word. They have three married daughters and eight grandchildren.
Karen graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2019 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling and was certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in 2021. Prior to moving to Louisville in 2016 for seminary, she served as a missionary in Africa and was on staff at a church in Chicago. God used Karen’s ministry experience to ignite her desire to counsel missionaries and pastors’ wives and fueled that desire during seminary. She lives in Louisville and serves in her local church’s counseling and children’s ministries.
Johnathan Reilly moved to Louisville in 2017 from Aiea, Hawaii to pursue a graduate degree in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). After a tour on active duty in the Army he joined Cadence International as a missionary to the military community where he learned to rely on God’s word to bring hope and help to struggling service members. He and his wife Stephenie are members at West Broadway Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Stephenie serves as the Children’s Ministry director. They have five kids and love to open their home as a catalyst for doing ministry and displaying Christ like hospitality. Johnathan will graduate in 2022 with an Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from STBS.
Allie received a master of arts from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has served in various administrative and vocational ministry roles at non-profit organizations as well as her local church. Allie serve as executive assistant to Tom and Robyn Scott and oversees the operations management of CBL. She and her husband, Nathan, were married in 2015 and live in Louisville, KY.
Alexa received her Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry from Eastern Mennonite University. She has served in many capacities in the past, including The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, education, coaching and administrative work. Alexa serves as the administrative assistant for CBL. Alexa and her husband, Landon were married in 2016 and live in Louisville, KY with their two young boys.

Adam was born and raised in Louisville by Christian parents and is the youngest of 3 boys. He attended the University of Louisville, graduating with an emphasis in Accounting. He went on to get his CPA license, and is pursuing an MBA. Adam married his college sweetheart, Kellie, in 2009 and they have 2 boys: Avery and Finn. Adam attends Immanuel Baptist Church where he has served as a Gospel Community Group leader since 2015. Adam loves good coffee, a good book, Kentucky basketball, and the 2 days a year he gets to sleep in
David and his wife, Ericia, married in 2005 and have five children. He has his Bachelors of Arts in Christian Education and Ministry from Wheaton College and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Care from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as a pastor at Clifton Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, providing leadership and oversight to various ministries including but not limited to preaching and teaching, discipleship and member care, small groups, and children’s ministry.
Dave received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has started or served numerous ministries and businesses. He is a current member of the Fulton County Board of Health, a Sunday School teacher, and a lumberyard owner. Dave serves as Treasurer for CBL and is responsible for identifying and recruiting people and organizations that have a desire to contribute financially to our vision and mission. He and his wife, Deb, were married in 1984 and have four children and one grandchild.
Richard received a bachelor of arts degree in Organizational Management & Development from Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, Michigan. He has held senior positions in manufacture training and apprenticeship programs for over fifteen years. Richard is responsible for identifying and recruiting people and organizations that have a desire to contribute financially to our vision and mission. He and his wife Barb were married in 1985 and have raised three grown children.
Emily serves as the Secretary on the CBL Board. She keeps busy as a stay at home mom and serves as a Pastor’s wife. Prior to being a mom, she worked in the Advancement Office at Southern Seminary, planning large donor events and developing donor communications. Emily earned a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Taylor University. Emily is married to Mike and is mother to Owen and their family currently lives in Tipton, Indiana. In her free time, she loves to cheer on the Indiana Hoosiers, run and eat ice cream.
Patrick serves as the Executive Administrator of River of Life Church in Elk River, MN. Patrick leads the team that helps make River of Life happen, including finances, operations, ministries, and staff. He has served in business and non-profits as President, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Business Owner. Patrick serves as President on the CBL board and is responsible for identifying and recruiting people and organizations that have a desire to contribute financially to our vision and mission. He and his wife Cindy were married in 1981 and have four grown children and three grandchildren.
